Sadly, our season came to an end last night. We lost 14-9 to Westside #2. We were just plain flat last night, couldn't get anything going and couldn't get a big hit or big defensive stop when we needed to.
Victor Angon did his part going 2-2 with a run and RBI, Alex Perez followed suit with a hit and an RBI. Jen Sutton chipped in with a double a run and an RBI, Lindsay Hazle walked. Josh Mangan was 3-3 with a 2 home runs, a double and 3 RBI's (he finished with 11 home runs and 24 RBI's to lead the team in both categories). Bryan Lehman had a double an a run. Mark Gerdy had triple an an RBI. Sally Gregoire had a hit and an RBI.
All in all it was a good season, but it's always disappointing when you lose a game you should win.
I want to say a special thanks to Christie, Sally and Lauren (both Lehman and Elwart), who rounded out an already killer female lineup at JD and made us all better players.
There's always next year...and Men's fall ball.
